Fazier vs ShipDR
These two do not compete for the same job and this page will not pretend they do. Fazier is somewhere to launch; we list nothing and have no audience to offer you. If you are weighing up Fazier, the useful question is not which of these to pick, it is what their free tier actually costs, because it is not zero and their own submit page says so.

What Fazier offers

Worth separating out one claim, because it is easy to file it with the ones that deserve suspicion: the “DR 82” in their Premium tier is a statement about their own domain, and it is checkable and correct. It is not a promise about what happens to yours, and we are not going to read it as one.
The free tier is a trade, not a gift
This is the part nobody frames for you. Basic costs no money and asks for a permanent link on your homepage or footer. That is a reciprocal arrangement: two sites linking to each other, which is a different animal from a one-way link and is treated differently by search engines when it becomes a pattern.
It is also why their paid tiers are interesting rather than just upsells. From $29 you are not only buying promotion, you are buying the requirement away. Framed properly, the question is: is a permanent slot on my homepage worth more or less than $29 to me?
When a swap is a good deal
Early. If your homepage carries few or no reciprocal links, a swap is among the cheapest dofollow links a new product will ever get, and worrying about ratios when you have three links is worrying about the wrong thing.
When it stops being one
Once they accumulate. Reciprocal links should stay a minority of the dofollow links you have, because a wall of mutual links is the pattern search engines discount. We will not hand you a number of slots, because the honest limit is a share of your own profile and it moves as that profile grows.
There is a second trap specific to this trade, and it is the one that catches people watching the wrong dial. Ahrefs’ DR counts inbound links only, so a reciprocal link raises the number on your chart whether or not Google passes anything across it. The metric improves either way. That is not an argument against swaps, it is an argument against reading DR as proof that one worked.
What we got, and one that never showed up
Two of our products are listed on Fazier through the free tier. When our checker read those pages, the link back to us was dofollow, on pages that were indexable. On the badge lane, on our submissions, the trade delivered what it said it would.
A third submission of ours has never appeared. It went in on 17 July, our checker has looked nine times since, and the listing is still not there. We are not calling that a rejection, because nobody told us anything: it is the ordinary, unannounced outcome that the whole idea of tracking exists for. Two of our three worked. Almost none of that is a scoreboard. Fazier is not missing a verification feature any more than we are missing an audience. The rows are there to show that the two products barely touch, which is the honest reason this page exists.
How they fit together
Launch on Fazier. Record the submission, paste the listing URL when it appears, and from then on the page is read on a schedule: the link is there or it is not, its rel says what it says, and if the page turns noindex or the link quietly comes down you get told. If you took the free tier there is a second half to watch, which is the link you gave them, and that one lives on your own homepage where it is easy to forget.
Charting your DR and adding a website is free. The tracking engine is $10 once per website, which is less than the tier that would have bought your homepage slot back.

Is ShipDR an alternative to Fazier?
No. Fazier is a place to launch: you submit a product, it appears on their site, people upvote it and you get a link. ShipDR lists nothing and has no audience to offer. They are consecutive steps rather than competing options, so for most makers the answer is both.
Are you impartial about Fazier? Do you have a link with them?
We are not a neutral party and you should read this page knowing it. That arrangement is exactly what the section on their free tier is about. Is Fazier free?
The Basic tier costs no money and their submit page states the condition plainly: "A backlink to our site is required (on your homepage or footer)." So it is free of charge and not free of cost, because a permanent slot on your homepage is a real thing to spend. Their paid tiers, from $29, explicitly remove the requirement, which is an unusually honest way to price it: you are being offered the chance to buy your homepage slot back.
Does Fazier give a dofollow backlink?
On our own launches it did. Two of our products are listed there through the free tier, and when our checker read those pages the link back to us was dofollow on an indexable page. That is two listings of ours, not a survey of theirs, and you can verify any Fazier listing yourself with our free dofollow checker instead of trusting our number. Their Premium tier separately advertises a guaranteed backlink from a DR 82 domain, which matches the DR we have on record for fazier.com.
Should I take the free tier or pay to skip the backlink requirement?
It depends on how many reciprocal links you already have, which is a question about your site rather than about Fazier. If your homepage carries few or no swap links, a reciprocal trade is one of the cheapest first dofollow links a new product can get, and the free tier is a reasonable deal. If your homepage already carries a row of them, adding another moves your profile further toward a pattern search engines discount, and $29 to avoid it is worth considering. Neither answer is universal and anyone giving you one without looking at your homepage is guessing.
Will launching on Fazier raise my Domain Rating?
Nobody can tell you that and we will not. DR is Ahrefs’ own score from Ahrefs’ own crawl, and a link from a strong domain is an input to a model nobody outside Ahrefs can see. There is also a specific trap with reciprocal links: DR counts inbound links only, so a swap can move the number while Google may pass nothing across it, which means the metric can improve while the thing it stands for does not.
Can I track a Fazier listing in ShipDR?
Yes, and this is the ordinary case.
