Not competing products, and this page will not pretend otherwise. TAAFT is a directory for AI tools; we list nothing and have no audience to offer.
What we do have is a paid listing there and every check we have run against it since, which turns out to be a more useful thing to write about than a feature table.
Two halves, and the second one is unflattering to us rather than to them. The $99 bought exactly what it said it would, and it also bought a link we cannot watch for you.
What our $99 actually produced
One listing, one product, one payment, recorded as we made it:
- Paid $99 on 17 July 2026.
- Live in three days. Submitted 17 July at 10:41, and our checker first saw the listing live on 20 July at 10:41. A real observed transition, not an estimate.
- Dofollow, on an indexable page. Our checker read the anchor’s rel and found nothing suppressing it, and the page carried no noindex.
- From a DR 77 domain at the time of writing.
That is a good outcome and it is worth saying so plainly. Plenty of paid directory listings produce a nofollow link, a page nobody indexes, or nothing at all, and this produced none of those.
What we cannot tell you
What TAAFT charges today. Their pricing page returns 403 to automated readers, so we genuinely cannot read it, and a number we cannot verify is a number we will not print. Open their submit page in a browser. That advice holds for every directory: a price quoted in an article is a price from whenever the article was written.
The half that is our problem
TAAFT blocks automated requests to its deeper pages. Checked on 3 August 2026, their homepage answers normally, while their submit page and our own listing page both return 403.
Our checker is an automated reader, so it meets that wall too: 27 of the 49 checks we have run against that listing were refused.
This is not a complaint. TAAFT is a large, popular directory and popular directories get scraped relentlessly, so an anti-bot layer is an ordinary defence and none of it is aimed at us.
But the consequence for somebody paying $99 is real, and it is the sort of thing a comparison page normally leaves out: a link that no schedule can check is a link you will hear about late if it ever changes.
So we do the honest version instead of the flattering one.
A listing behind a wall leaves the automatic sweep entirely, rather than collecting the same 403 twice a day forever, and carries a mark saying it is not being watched.
To verify it you open the page in your own browser and paste its HTML, and the same checker that judges every other directory judges that.
You supply the transport, never the verdict, and a paste can only ever prove a link is there: it can never prove one is missing, so absence is never recorded from one.

The last row is the one worth reading twice, and it is the row where we come off worst. Most comparison tables do not have one of those.
What $99 does and does not buy anywhere
A paid listing buys placement and, usually, a link.
It does not buy a ranking, and it cannot buy a Domain Rating, because DR is Ahrefs’ own model computed from a crawl nobody outside Ahrefs can see.
Directory links also have sharply diminishing returns: the first few are the cheapest links a new product will ever get, and the fiftieth is not like the fifth.
The comparison worth making before spending is not against doing nothing.
It is against the free lanes, and against the reciprocal ones where the price is a permanent slot on your homepage rather than money. That trade is its own page.
How they fit together
Submit to TAAFT, record what you paid, and paste the listing URL when it appears.
From then on the answer is either automatic or manual depending on whether their wall is up for you, and either way the verdict comes from the same checker: live or not, dofollow or not, indexable or not.
Recording the $99 also puts it in the spend column, which is the only way a directory budget ever becomes a number you can look at.
